How to write IGNOU BDP Project - Bachelor Degree Programmes

Writing a project for the IGNOU Bachelor’s Degree Programmes (BDP) involves several steps. Here’s a general guide: 

  1. Understand the Programme: The BDP includes various programmes such as Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor Degree in Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), and Bachelor of Tourism (BTS). Make sure you understand the specific requirements of your programme.

  2. Read the Guidelines: Each course in the BDP has specific guidelines for assignments. These guidelines often include instructions on writing paragraphs, essays, reports, making notes, and summarizing. Make sure to read these instructions carefully before you start.

  3. Complete the Assignments: For each course in the BDP, you have to complete one Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA). Each assignment typically has 18 questions that need to be answered.

  4. Follow the Instructions: Before you attempt the assignments, read the instructions provided in the Programme Guide. These instructions will guide you on how to answer the questions and what the evaluators are looking for.

  5. Review and Submit: After completing the assignment, review your work to ensure it meets the guidelines and addresses all the questions. Once you’re satisfied with your work, submit it as per the instructions provided by IGNOU.

 

 

The last date for online submission of the IGNOU Bachelor’s Degree Programmes (BDP) Project/Dissertation/Field Work Journals/Internship Reports was 30th November 2023. However, for the term end examination of June 2024, it is expected that the last date for submission of IGNOU Projects will be 31st May 2024. Please check the official IGNOU website or contact your study centre to get the most accurate and updated information. Good luck with your project submission!

  1. Choose a Good Topic Relevant to your Course & Subject: The topic should be relevant to your course and subject, beneficial for a large number of people, and of personal interest to you.

  2. Find a Good Supervisor for your IGNOU Project: Choose a guide who is a specialist in the area of your selected topic. Please note that spouses, direct relatives, and blood relations are not permitted to be the guide.

  3. Prepare IGNOU Project Proposal Performa & Synopsis for Approval: After finalizing your topic and guide, prepare a project proposal for university approval.

  4. Determine the Project Report/Thesis Length: The length of your report or thesis should be appropriate for the scope of your project.

  5. Writing Thesis for your Project: Your thesis should be well-written and thoroughly researched.

  6. Project Report Formulation: Formulate your project report in a structured and organized manne

 

Starting your IGNOU Bachelor’s Degree Programme (BDP) project along with the synopsis involves several steps:

  1. Choose a Topic: Select a topic that is relevant to your course and subject, and of personal interest to you.

  2. Discuss with the Guide: After choosing the topic, discuss it with your guide. The guide should be a specialist in the area of your selected topic.

  3. Prepare the Synopsis: Refer to the Project Handbook for the synopsis preparation format and other details. The research may be conducted with primary or secondary data. Both online/offline mode can be used.

  4. Send the Synopsis to the Guide: The final synopsis needs to be sent to the Guide by the learner. And the Guide needs to give his/her consent to guide/supervise the learner in the reply email.

  5. Submission of the Project Synopsis: You may send the hard copy of the Synopsis to the Regional Centre/Study Centre by post. If you are submitting the soft copy of the synopsis online, follow the guidelines given and send the synopsis to the specific email provided by the RC.

  6. Start Writing the Project: After your synopsis is approved, you can start writing your project. Make sure to conduct thorough research using credible sources such as academic journals, books, and websites.

  7. Revise and Edit: After writing a draft of your project, revise and edit it to ensure it is well-written and thoroughly researched.

  8. Submit the Final Report: Once your project is complete and you are satisfied with it, submit the final report
