How to write IGNOU PGDHE Project - Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education

Sure, here are the steps to write an IGNOU PGDUPDL Project Report (MEDSP-45):

  1. Choose a Topic: The topic should be relevant to urban planning and development. Consider factors such as the topic’s suitability, the amount of time you have, your ability to collect data within the specified time frame, the challenges and costs of data collection, and your communication capabilities and knowledge of the local language.

  2. Prepare the Project Proposal: The proposal should include the title of the proposed project, background of the study, literature review, rationale of the study, objectives of the study, and the hypothesis of the study (if any).

  3. Research Methodology: Clearly state the sample, tests/tools, and statistical methods to be used.

  4. Consultation with Guide: Consult with your guide while finalizing the topic and during the preparation of the project proposal. Eligible supervisors include faculty at the Headquarters (School of Extension and Development Studies), academic counsellors with a Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Planning and Development, urban planning and development teachers and researchers, and individuals with a doctorate or a master’s degree in a related field with at least two years of experience.

  5. Write the Project Report: The project report should be submitted in A-4 size, typed in double space. It should be hard bound. Ensure that it contains the Project Proposal Proforma (with all items filled and signatures of both student and guide), Project Synopsis (signed by both guide and student), Guide’s Bio-data (with signature of the guide), and Certificate of Originality (with all necessary signatures).

  6. Originality: The project report should be original. Xerox copy of the project report is not acceptable. Not more than one student is permitted to work on a project.

  7. Consistency in Title: If the title of the Project differs from the title mentioned in the Project Proposal, the Project Report will be rejected and will be returned back to the student.

Remember, the aim of the project work is to provide an opportunity for learners to deepen their knowledge and understanding of urban development. It is meant to expand your capacities of learning the urban development.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
