Here are some points to consider while writing your IGNOU PGDWGS-R Project:

  1. Research Project Planning: After settling on a topic, you may begin brainstorming — that is, recording all the random thoughts that occur to you while you consider the subject. This will assist you in broadening your scope and examining the subject from a variety of perspectives.
  2. Research Proposal: Write a good research proposal.
  3. Research Design: Identify and use an appropriate research design.
  4. Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct scientific investigation in a systematic way. Collect and analyze the data.
  5. Statistical Methods: Learn to use appropriate statistical methods.
  6. Word Limit: You would need to present your study findings in around 4000-5000 words.
  7. Plagiarism: Plagiarism, which is defined as the act of stealing another person’s ideas and passing them off as one’s own, is a more serious offence than it appears. Plagiarism includes the following:
    • Submitting someone else’s work under your name and details.
  8. Project Report Structure: Depending on the type of study, you can refer to the recommendations given below for the applicable sub-sections.
    • For Literature and other disciplines of the humanities:
      • Title
      • Introduction
      • Study Objectives
      • Discussion and Critical Analysis
      • Conclusion
      • Bibliography
    • For fields of social science:
      • Title
      • Introduction and Problem Statement
      • Objectives
      • Methodology
      • Analysis
      • Conclusion and, if applicable, recommendations
      • Bibliography

Remember, a book review cannot be included in a research assignment. Yes, you may utilise a book and its topic, philosophy, and ideology; however, you must conduct a critical examination of the book’s word limit (4000–5000 words) and compare it to other works on the same theme, philosophy, and ideology. Good luck with your project!
